"Leadership continues"

PPA Introduction & history

In 2003 a team of past prefects had a concern to form a group exclusively for past prefects by believing the specialty in a Prefect in terms of Respect, Understanding and Leadership. From there onwards with much formalities the Past Prefects Association constituted by making an objective of “To work for the development and betterment of the Alma-Mata”. The logo is the Senior Prefect badge and the motto is “Leadership Continues”.

The Past Prefects’ Association well known as “PPA”, consists of Zahira College Colombo students who served the college as a Prefect. PPA is a fellowship organization and dedicate to the team’s collective wisdom and efforts towards the prosperity & development of mother country and the College. Together PPA organizes religious, educational, sports and self development events and programs.

15th Annual General Meeting

The 15th Annual General Meeting of the Past prefects’ Association of Zahira College was held Virtually on 24.01.2021 from 11 am Via Zoom.

This was the First time that this genre of virtual AGM was conducted in the history of PPA.

Due to the prevailing Covid – 19 pandemic and with the objective of connecting all the past prefects around the world this creative initiative was executed.

Celebrity Football Match
2017

The Most extravagant Football encounter between All Stars VS Cricket Stars was definitely a talk of the Town.

All Stars team was lead by the music sensation Santhush Weeraman and comprised with many prominent celebrities from football,rugby, business sector etc and the Cricket Stars was lead by the Former National Cricket Captain Mahela Jayawardena and his team included former national cricketers.

This exhibition match was held on 07th October 2017 at Zahira College grounds from 3.30 p.m.
